Spread's design basically assumes that every daemon can send traffic directly to 
any of the other daemons in its configuration.  In some scenarios, people have 
gotten Spread to work when that assumption isn't fully kept.  However, the 
scenario you describe doesn't seem to fit in the universe of possible Spread 
configurations.
