[Spread-users] successful build on AIX 5.2 anyone?

The best advice I can give is to look at arch.h and see how we hardcoded the 
values for Win32.  Then add a #ifdef section for your specific architecture 
modeled after the one for Win32 and fill in the appropriate values for your arch.

Without including a vast ammount of configure/make output at this stage I have had little success with using IBM's xlC compiler (Ver 6) or GNU (4.1.1)  to build the source distributions of both spread 3.17.3 and 4.0.0 rc2. Any help for those that have mastered the required changes would be welcome.
