[Spread-users] successful build on AIX 5.2 anyone?

Has anyone had a successful build on AIX 5.2 or is there a binary distribution out there?

For anyone who has gone through the pain of building or trying to build on AIX 5 you are certainly up against it. As Theo Schlossnagle has mentioned in another thread, buiding outside of GNU is troublesome. Without including a vast ammount of configure/make output at this stage I have had little success with using IBM's xlC compiler (Ver 6) or GNU (4.1.1)  to build the source distributions of both spread 3.17.3 and 4.0.0 rc2. Any help for those that have mastered the required changes would be welcome.
