We do it all the time in our development environments, so we know it
works, but we haven't measured its performance implications. Our
performance test & production hosts don't use VMWare yet. Love to hear
other folks' experience before we remove that "yet".

As a follow up, does anyone have experience with deploying Spread on a
VMWare system? What are the potential performance concerns with such
a setup?
