Hi Mark,

So that means that there is a problem in your operating system setup - it does not
allow to join the multicast address, so you cannot receive these messages.
The code discovers it and lets you know.

You can either use the broadcast address or set the OS to allow to join
IP multicast groups (which I have no good suggestion on how to do this in
your system). Once the spsend - sprecv programs show that it is possible
to use such IP multicast groups on your network / operating system then
I am pretty sure Spread will also work using multicast.
