I have submitted an update of the FreeBSD port to version 3.16.1,
which has been accepted and committed, so should be included in
4.6-RELEASE sometime this year and is available from CVS already.

In addition, several things have changed:
a) can now be built into a binary package that DTRT w.r.t.
   user/group creation and /var/run/spread
b) respects PREFIX (i.e. /usr/local/etc/...) - note that this
changes the default location of spread.conf and spread.access_ip
c) Flexibility in JDK_VERSION
d) Clearer display of license to remind installers of the unusual
   extra clauses
e) Claim maintainership for myself, since no-one else was!

This port installs Spread.pm and will also build and install the
java classes if WITH_JAVA_LIB is set.

I'll be tracking each release from now on.

Regards,
Joshua.
