as far as I remember there are several python implementations of
Spread. One I once used was<br>

but i just saw that there is a newer, maybe more promising version<br>
here: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://code.google.com/p/py-spread/">http://code.google.com/p/py-spread/</a><br>

Since python is backwards compatible I am sure you can still use
these versions with python3.<br>
