[Spread-users] Spread windows Cygwin dladdr compile issue

Hi,
We are trying spread 4.2 latest release and could not compile it in Cygwin because of dladdr missing. 
I notice there is a macro definition to disable it:
DISABLE_FUNCTION_NAME_LOOKUP
What would be the impact or imitation if I do so?
