[Spread-users] New to spread and got some problems

Hi Jeremy,

Guess what. I'm damn stupid. Changed the Spread_Segment to x.y.z.63 (because this is the broadcast) and it works. I'm very sorry for that foolish mistake.

I would have thought this is fine. The config file is the same on both machines, and you are then specifying the node name in /etc/default/spread? (OPTIONS="-n node01") - I'm assuming you're using the normal debian config layout & init scripts.

If it is still not working and you can't see any mention of the other machine in /var/log/spread.log then it might be time to use wireshark (or tcpdump for non-X) to see where your packets are going astray...
