[Spread-users] getting segment information

(newbie spread user, please be gentle if this is a dumb question!)

I have a spread configuration with 2 segments separated by a WAN. If
the link goes down, I want the various spread nodes to act differently
than if the network's working fine.

Is it possible to query the spread network to say something like "are
all configured nodes in Segment A not responding?"

Any pointers would be most welcome
