[Spread-users] max number of daemons

Hi All,
I searched through the archives and found an email ( http://www.spread.org/pipermail/spread-users/2002-June/000823.html ) saying that max number of nodes is 128, but you recommend not to exceed 30.
Is that true only for 3.17.4 or to 4.0 as well?
