That definitely sounds like a problem with the Perl library for Spread.  I've 
run tons of tests with the C library, under high load, in large and singleton 
configurations, and not seen messages disappear.  I know messages don't 
disappear because my product, Congruity, tracks every message and would bomb out 
if Spread broke its service contract.

The Perl library is a 3rd party library and is not maintained by Spread 
Concepts, who maintain Spread.
