hello list!

we did some spflooder tests and we were increasing the number of hosts (linux).
we realized, that spread seams to get slower by each added host.

	1.000 messages/100.000 bytes - time is averaged for all hosts

	freiburg -> okinava

	15.831 ms (48,19 Mbps)
	15.251 ms (50,20 Mbps)
	15.269 ms (49,96 Mbps)

	freiburg -> okinava, galway

	17.898 ms (42,62 Mbps)
	18.123 ms (42,90 Mbps)
	18.482 ms (41,28 Mbps)

	freiburg -> okinava, galway, qosqo

	21.143 ms (36,80 Mbps)
	21.159 ms (36,50 Mbps)
	20.365 ms (37,46 Mbps)

	freiburg -> okinava, galway, qosqo, teguise

	25.692 ms (29,69 Mbps)
	25.663 ms (29,72 Mbps)
	25.075 ms (30,42 Mbps)

we are using spread-src-3.16.2.tar and our spread.conf looks like this:

	Spread_Segment 224.100.100.224:6824 {
  	     freiburg     172.27.27.27
  	     okinava      172.27.27.28
	     galway       172.27.27.29
  	     qosqo        172.27.27.30
   	     tequise      172.27.27.31
	}

but the main question is, how is it possible to increase spread's performace?
we will have just *1* sender and up to *100* receivers in our scenario.

and another question, does spread nead a lot of resources(cpu, memory)?

regards, jan
