[Spread-users] Spread scalability?

How scalable is Spread? How many connections can it handle on a box with
let's say a

1 Ghz P3/Duron/P4/Athlon
256 MB RAM
IDE hard drive
Linux 2.4.18

Just want to have some idea on how scalable Spread is .. ;).
