[Spread-users] send text to spread group from command line?

Why are you trying to avoid the script that comes with mod_log_spread?  
I was going to suggest writing a small perl script call spread_client 
that did exactly what you want.  Why not use the one with m_l_s?  It 
works (as far as I know).
